Western Cape police have confirmed two explosions in Cape Town, but no injuries or fatalities were reported.
Police spokesperson, Captain Frederick Van Wyk, says one explosion occurred in Belgravia Road in Athlone at around 11pm Thursday night.
He says the second explosion occurred on the corner of Jan Smuts and Kroomboom Roads in Rondebosch East.
Van Wyk says one blast occurred at a motor dealership and the other at a small business centre.
He says cases of malicious damage to property were opened for investigation.
