Six people were killed in separate road accidents in the Eastern Cape this weekend.
Provincial traffic spokesperson, Charles Bramwell said five people were killed in a head-on collision on the N2 between Mount Ayliff and Mount Frere, when two bakkies, which were travelling in opposite directions, collided head-on late Sunday afternoon.
He said four men and a woman died at the scene.
Bramwell said in another accident on the R62 between Kareedouw and Joubertina, the driver of a vehicle lost control and it overturned.
He said the driver died instantly and his wife and daughter were seriously injured and taken to Kareedouw hospital.
Police are investigating cases of culpable homicide.
