Disgraced former police chief, Jackie Selebi, who was serving a 15-year term for corruption, is being released on parole on Friday.
The announcement was made in Pretoria, at a news conference by Correctional Services Minister Sibusiso Ndebele.
Selebi was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment for corruption in 2010 and his appeal was rejected by the Appeals Court last year.
He has served 229 days of his 15-year sentence.
