Sydney (dpa) – A second woman within a week has been bitten by a wild snake at a zoo in the Australian state of Queensland.
“Oops.. She did it again,” the Australia Zoo, located north of Brisbane, wrote on its Facebook page on Monday.
“Today a visitor at Australia Zoo didn’t see a small, non-venomous green tree snake on the pathway and received a bite to the leg after
accidentally stepping on it.”
The woman, aged in her 30s, was taken to hospital, according to local media. She was said to be in a stable condition.
“Ps. Snake is fine too!?” the zoo said.
Last week, a woman in her 20s was bitten by the same species of snake at the zoo.
It was the first time a guest had been bitten by a snake in its 46 year history.
