Kirkwood police are investigating the disappearance of a two-year-old who was last seen on Thursday.
Police spokesperson, Sergeant Majola Nkohli, said a case of “kidnapping” was opened after little Chevon Carol was last seen playing outside her home in Suiker Bekkie Street in Bergsig.
He said in a statement on Sunday that police followed several leads in a bid to find the little girl, who is believed to be somewhere in Addo.
“Police are also requesting a person of interest, Veronique Willemse, to contact the investigating officer, so that she could assist police investigation,” Nkohli said.
He also appealed to anyone who may have information on Chevon’s whereabouts, to contact Detective Sergeant Mbulelo Grootboom on 072 732 5132, or the Crime Stop Number 08600 10111.
