The State’s appeal against former paralympian Oscar Pistorius’s culpable homicide conviction will be heard by the Supreme Court of Appeal in Bloemfontein on the 3rd of November.
Supreme Court registrar, Paul Myburgh, says a panel of five judges will hear the appeal.
Last September, Pistorius was found guilty of culpable homicide for shooting dead his model and law graduate girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.
He was sentenced to five year in jail but is already eligible for parole.
The State, in lodging the appeal, wants Pistorius to be convicted of the more serious charge of murder, which carries a much heavier sentence.
