The SA Transport and Allied Workers' Union says it is considering a bargaining council proposal to end a nationwide bus strike.
The trade union's Vincent Masoga says the proposal is still being discussed with workers who have to agree to it.
The spokesperson for the Commuter Bus Employers' Organisation, Barry Gie says the proposal was tabled last week.
He says employers increased their offer from 6.5% -8%, across the board, for workers earning R23.50 an hour or less, and 7.5% for those earning more.
Gie says during the talks, unions reduced their demand from 18- 13%.
