SARS Oupa Magashula resigns

Finance Minister, Pravin Gordhan, has accepted the resignation of SA Revenue Services Commissioner, Oupa Magashula.

Magashula has been the subject of an investigation into allegations of improper conduct.

This, after a tape recording was made public earlier this year in which Magashula, together with convicted drug dealer, Panganathan Marimuthu, allegedly offered a woman connected to Marimuthu a job at SARS.

Gordhan has appointed Ivan Pillay to the Sars hot seat in an acting capacity.
