Police in Kwazulu Natal have arrested two more suspects in their ongoing investigations into child porn syndicates.
National Police spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe says in the latest arrest children and animals had to be removed from the property.
She says the Electronic Criminal Investigations unit traced the suspects to Umbilo and they were arrested on Tuesday.
Mathe says a 58-year-old man was found in possession of hundreds of images and videos of children involved in sexual acts, including images and chats where information relating to boys who are available for sexual favours at a price of R2 500 and willing buyers having a choice to drug them.
She says the man was remanded in custody.
The second suspect is a 62-year-old man who had thousands of child porn images and videos on his device, including images of children being sexually abused
During the operation, the Department of Social Development assisted in removing children aged 6 years old and 4 months who were living on the same property.
Brigadier Mathe says the SPCA was also called to assist with removing a neglected dog and kitten.
The accused already appeared in court in Pinetown.
The state will oppose bail in both matters.
