A manhunt is underway in Kwazulu Natal for an SANDF member who shot and killed two women and also wounded two other people including a policeman.
The SANDF said in a statement that the member from the 8 SA infantry battalion at Upington, opened fire yesterday with an R4 assault rifle.
SANDF spokesperson, Brigadier-General Mafi Mgobozi, said the man killed his girlfriend and another woman.
He also wounded a third woman as well as a policeman who responded to the shooting in Ntuzuma in Kwazulu Natal.
General Mgobozi said that the police's tactical response team was activated to find the soldier.
