Members of the SACP will hold a demonstration outside parliament Friday in support of the Protection of State Information Bill.
The SACP in Cape Town will be supported by the ANC and Sanco in the province.
The protest is targetting the Right 2 Know Campaign which will make its submission before the ad-hoc committee of the National Council of Provinces which is considering the Bill after it was passed in parliament earlier.
SACP spokesperson in the Cape Metro, Benson Ngqentsu, says the Protection of State Information Bill is a progressive piece of legislation.
Meanwhile, Murrary Hunter of the Right 2 Know campaign says the allegations against them are false.
He says its designed to undermine their submission to the ad-hoc committee.
Hunter says the SACP-led protest is not in support of the Bill itself but rather against his organisation, which came in for stinging criticism from the SACP in Cape Town.
