The SABC says it has fired 123 employees following an intensive investigation into allegations of medical aid fraud.
SABC spokesperson, Kaizer Kganyago, said the Corporation was left with no choice but sack the employees.
He said when the allegations were initially made there were 200 employees implicated in the fraud scandal.
However, Kganyago said following the probe this number was significantly reduced.
Chief Operations Officer, Hlaudi Motsoeneng, said the SABC was committed to rooting out fraud and corruption.
