SA records 94 more COVID-19 deaths

South Africa's Covid-19 death toll increased by 94 on Friday and stood at 1 831.

Health Minister Zweli Mkhize said that the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in South Africa had reached 87,715

The Eastern Cape has recorded 13 506 cases with 257 deaths.

Nationally, 47 825 people have recovered.

A total of 1,260,434 tests have been completed with 32,336 new tests reported.

49 percent of the tests were done by the private sector, and 51 percent by the public sector.
