Health Minister, Zweli Mkhize, has announced four new cases of the coronavirus bringing to seven the number of confirmed cases in the country.
He announced this at a media briefing on Monday.
Minister Mkhize said that the four new cases were linked to the first reported case in Kwazulu Natal that of a 38-year-old man who had travelled in a group to Italy who had tested positive.
He said more people linked to the group will be tested.
The four new cases are a couple from Howick in Kwazulu Natal as well as two men aged 45 and 38 from Pietermaritzburg.
All seven cases are from the group who travelled to Italy together.
