SA now has seven confirmed cases of Coronavirus

Health Minister, Zweli Mkhize, has announced four new cases of the coronavirus bringing to seven the number of confirmed cases in the country.

He announced this at a media briefing on Monday.

Minister Mkhize said that the four new cases were linked to the first reported case in Kwazulu Natal that of a 38-year-old man who had travelled in a group to Italy who had tested positive.

He said more people linked to the group will be tested.

The four new cases are a couple from Howick in Kwazulu Natal as well as two men aged 45 and 38 from Pietermaritzburg.

All seven cases are from the group who travelled to Italy together.
