A South African-born couple has pleaded for the safe return of their 12-year-old son, who was kidnapped in Malaysia on Friday morning.
The Saturday Star newspaper reports that the boy, Nayati Moodliar, was kidnapped in Kuala Lampur while on his way to school.
He was seen being bundled into a car with a false number plate by two men.
His father, Shamelin Moodliar told a television station they had no idea whether he was taken for a ransom.
The parents have dual South African and Dutch citizenship, and the boy's grandparents live in Cape Town.
