State-owned arms company, Denel, has confirmed that two of its employees have been killed in an attack on a UN compound in the Somali capital Mogadishu which left 15 people dead.
However, Denel spokesperson, Vuyelwa Qinga, says no further details are available.
She says Denel is involved in de-mining activities under a UN contract in Somalia.
Meanwhile, Sapa reports that the victims of the attack, blamed on the Islamist group, Al Shebab, included four foreign UN staff, four Somali nationals hired as security guards, and seven Al-Shebab fighters.
Witnesses said the attackers were dressed in military uniform.
