The country's cabinet members have apparently asked to have their offices inspected - over fears that they're being bugged.
State Security Minister, Siybonga Cwele told reporters in parliament that there are widespread concerns among parliamentarians about illegal wire tapping.
However, he's dismissed suggestions that the fears are being fuelled by a perception of political infighting within the ANC ahead of its elective conference.
He says - to date - there is only one case of illicit wire tapping that's currently under investigation.
