A motorist, who allegedly shot dead a motorcyclist in an apparent road rage confrontation in Johannesburg, is due to appear in the Roodepoort Magistrate's Court on Monday.
The man, in his forties, was arrested on Friday, after he allegedly got into an argument with 39-year-old biker Douglas Pierce, while they were both travelling in Randburg.
Police spokesperson, Lieutenant-Colonel Katlego Mogale says the two pulled off the road and continued their confrontation, during which the motorist was injured and the biker shot dead.
Firearms recovered from both men were sent for ballistic tests.
The motorist was treated for head injuries in hospital under police guard.
Mogale said he would be charged with murder in court on Monday.
