The Department of basic Education has confirmed that the notice regarding a rewrite of a grade 12 Mathematics paper two is fake.
The DBE National spokesperson,Elijah Mhlanga says matrics should remain reassured that there has been no compromise to the exam written on the second of November.
The fake post claimed that the exam would be rescheduled to the 30th of this month.
Mhlanga says the South African Police Service has launched an investigation into the matter.
He has urged matric pupils to remain focused and not be distracted by fake notices.
He added that any information regarding the Grade 12 exams will be done through an official announcement.
