It has been two weeks since well-known Ndebele artist Dr Esther Mahlangu was robbed in her home in Siyabuswa near KwaMhlanga in the Mpumalanga Province.
The world-renowned contemporary artist who is 86-years-old was attacked, stranged and tied up during a house robbery on 19 March.
Police have still not arrested the suspect and have now offered a reward of R50 000 for information about him.
The suspect stole Mahlangu's safe containing a 7.65mm pistol as well as an undisclosed amount of cash and bundles of keys.
The artist sustained some injuries and was later found by her granddaughter who alerted police.
