Some lucky animals including leopards and wild dogs at the Pretoria Zoo will on Thursday receive edible Christmas gifts.
The National Zoological Gardens of South Africa (NZG) said in a brief statement on Tuesday it would present some edible gifts to “lucky animals” at the zoo.
“Santa will be making his rounds at the NZG on Thursday,” said spokesperson, Angeliné Schwan, adding “the gift-giving will take the form of environmental enrichment activities”.
She said magnificent leopard and wild dogs, as well as the charismatic penguins and the enigmatic Cape vultures, will be treated to some festive fun the form of delicious holiday-themed treats.
