President Jacob Zuma sworn in for second term in office


The inauguration ceremony for Jacob Zuma's second term of office took place at the Union Buildings in Pretoria on Saturday.

The ceremony started with inter-faith prayers, for a peaceful inauguration, and blessings for Zuma.

He then took his oath of office for a second term, and was sworn in by Chief Justice, Mogoeng Mogoeng.

In his adderss to the nation, Zuma said he was honored to be able to lead South African for another five years.

He said a lot of progress had been made in the country since the start of democracy 1994.

Zuma is expected to announce his new Cabinet on Sunday.
