The Presidency has rejected a weekend report in which prosecutions boss, Mxolisi Nxasaa said he heard about an inquiry into his fitness to hold office - from the media.
Presidential spokesperson, Mac Maharaj, says this is not true as President Jacob Zuma had sent Nxasana a letter on Friday night and he had confirmed receiving it.
He says in addition, Nxasana had been informed on Saturday that the presidency would be issuing a statement about Zuma's decision.
