Police Sergeant kills wife at Cape Town station

A 41-year-old police officer, stationed at the Hout Bay police station in Cape Town has shot and killed his 36-year-old wife, before turning the gun on himself.

Police Spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Andre Traut says the couple was reportedly in the middle of a domestic dispute.

He says the wife came to the station just after 10 am when the incident happened.

The Sergeant, who was on duty at the time, then shot his wife before committing suicide.

Police are investigating a murder/suicide.
