Police Minister Nathi Nhleko is expected to table his findings by the end of March on how much, if anything, President Jacob Zuma should pay back after upgrades to his Nkandla homestead.
A year ago yesterday, Public Protector Thuli Madonsela determined that Zuma should repay a reasonable percentage, after he unduly benefitted from the R246 million spent to upgrade his home in KwaZulu-Natal.
The DA has argued that Zuma should have urgently complied with these findings, but instead he undermined the Protector's authority and deemed the Police Minister should determine his liability.
