A young pilot escaped serious injury after performing an emergency landing on a farm in Lanseria on Friday morning.
ER 24 said their paramedics, Lanseria Fire, and other services arrived on the scene just after 10 am to find the small aircraft upside down in a large field.
"The man had already managed to climb out of his aircraft," said spokesperson, Russel Meiring.
He said the pilot, in his twenties, had sustained only moderate injuries.
Meiring said fortunately there were no other occupants in the aircraft.
"The details surrounding this incident are unknown, but local authorities are on the scene to conduct an investigation," he said.
