Port Elizabeth police have confirmed that a case of arson is being investigated after two petrol bombs were thrown into a building at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University.
Police spokesperson, Captain Johan Rheeders, said the incident happened during the night on Saturday.
He said a bag filled with stones was thrown through the glass door of NMMU's procurement building on South campus.
He said several slogans saying Fees Must Fall and Zuma Must Fall, were scrawled on the walls of the building.
Rheeder said two petrol bombs were thrown into the building causing some damage. He said police were still on the scene Sunday morning.
No arrests have been made.
