Two men (21, 24) will appear in the Port Elizabeth Magistrates court on Monday after they were found with a stolen motorbike inside a taxi.
Police Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says the complainant's motorbike broke down on the M4 freeway on Friday afternoon an he had to leave it on the freeway to get assistance.
Later on Friday evening, police confiscated they bike which was found inside the taxi in Central, PE.
Police have also issued a warning to motorbike owners to take the necessary precautions in safeguarding their bikes.
Naidu says in the last three months police noticed a spike in motorbike thefts, with some even stolen from locked garages.
Home owners are advised to extend their alarm systems to their garages.
