A passenger has been killed and the driver wounded after being caught in the crossfire between rival taxi bosses in Midrand, Gauteng.
Police said a stray bullet hit the passenger while the driver was wounded in the arm during the early morning rush hour shoot-out.
Police spokesperson, Augustinah Selepe, says they suspect a group of taxi owners in their private cars were shooting at each other.
She says the innocent victims were driving by when they were hit.
No arrests have been made.
