A man, believed to be in his 40s, died when his motorised paraglider crashed in Centurion in Pretoria on Saturday morning, paramedics said.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene soon after 8.30am in Centurion where they found the man near his paragliding gear on the airfield, ER24 spokesman Werner Vermaak said.
"He was assessed by paramedics who found that his vital signs rapidly deteriorated. Despite their efforts, they were unable to revive him and he was later declared dead on the scene."
Local authorities attended the scene and would investigate. The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not yet known, Vermaak said.
