The Democratic Alliance and the GOOD Party have reacted to the latest unemployment figures, painting a bleak picture for the jobless. According to the latest statistics, 32.6% of South Africans are without a job or a proper income.

Statistics South Africa reported a slight drop in the unemployment rate which was down to 32.6% in the Second Quarter of 2023, compared to 32.9% in Q1.
