Political parties are preparing to pile the pressure on the Department of Social Development and the Postbank in the wake of the social grants debacle.

Postbank on Thursday said it was working around the clock to address a major system glitch that resulted in thousands of social grant beneficiaries not receiving their monies for September. Postbank CEO Ntomboxolo Mbengashe, however, said most grant recipients had already received their pay-outs.
