Oscar Pistorius to be released from prison in August

Oscar Pistorius will be released from prison on the 21st of August.

The family's legal team was notified on Monday that his parole application was partly successful and that he will be released on correctional supervision.

When asked to comment, a member of the Steenkamp's legal team, Tania Koen, confirmed a short while ago that Pistorius' application was heard on Friday.

Legal representatives for the family filed their submission on Thursday, and Koen says she was informed of the decision on Monday.
