Oscar Pistorius will appear in court on Tuesday to apply for bail following the paralympian's conviction for murdering his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.
Judicial spokeswoman Lusanda Ntuli says the issue of a sentencing date for the double-amputee runner might be addressed during the hearing in the North Gauteng High Court.
On Thursday, South Africa’s Supreme Court of Appeal overturned a lower court’s culpable homicide conviction and found the blade runner guilty of murder for shooting Steenkamp to death through a toilet door in his upmarket Pretoria Home on Valentine's Day 2013.
Pistorius spent one year of a five-year sentence in jail for the lesser offense and was put under house arrest at his uncle’s mansion in Pretoria in October.
