Eskom says there will be no power cuts on Sunday - the first time in more than a week - after stage 2 load shedding was implemented the whole of yesterday.
It said in a statement on Saturday evening that the power system remained tight and vulnerable, and should the situation deteriorate, the public would be informed.
Spokesperson Andrew Etzinger says there will be no load shedding on Sunday, after they saw an improved performance of their generators.
Eskom implemented stage 4 rolling blackouts for six consecutive days last week.
