No load shedding expected on Saturday - Eskom

Eskom says there will be no load shedding on Saturday morning on during the day, but the system remains constrained and vulnerable.

It says there is a limited risk of load shedding on Saturday evening and on Sunday.

Eskom said its teams worked overnight and succeeded in improving the system.

The embattled power utility says its pumped storage schemes have been sufficiently replenished and it continues to work to improve diesel levels at its open-cycle gas turbines.
