No arrests have been made yet following the mugging of SABC journalists outside Milpark Hospital in Johannesburg.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Noxolo Kweza, says the armed robbers accosted the crew and robbed them of their valuables, including laptops and cellular phones.
The robbery was recorded on camera and no injuries were reported.
SABC contributing editor Vuyo Mvoko, foreign editor Sophie Mokoena and journalist Chriselda Lewis were preparing for a live crossing on Tuesday night after covering the arrival of Zambian President Edgar Lungu at the hospital.
Video footage showing two men accosting Mvoko as he waits to deliver his report in front of the camera went viral, with over 170,000 views on YouTube by Wednesday morning.
Gauteng police commissioner Lieutenant General, Lesetja Mothiba, said police would do everything in their power to ensure that the suspects were brought to book.
Police are investigating a case of robbery and theft.
