SA National Parks says 19 people were arrested in connection with rhino poaching between the 11th and 29th of October.
SANParks rangers commander Major General Johan Jooste said this had been the highest number of arrests made in a month.
He says they also confiscated rifles, ammunition and poaching equipment.
Jooste says they're hopeful that the measures being implemented will eventually yield the expected results of bringing poaching incidents to acceptable levels.
The Kruger National Park is worst affected, having lost 476 rhino since January.
