Nine killed by lightning in Mpumalanga


 
The Mpumalanga government says it will look into the living conditions of construction workers following the deaths of
eight men who were struck by lightning this week.

Public safety director Selati Matlejoane says the conditions they're living in is not acceptable.

Nine people were killed in the province on Wednesday by lightning.
Eight of those killed were construction workers sleeping in a tent in Witbank.

Another man was struck by lightning in Middelburg on the same day while walking with his child.
His child was critically injured.
