A motorcyclist was killed and his passenger sustained serious injuries, after a car rear-ended them in Bloemfontein on Sunday morning.
Netcare 911's Chris Botha says the bike was stationary at a traffic light, when a Toyota Corolla slammed into the back of them with such force, that the female passenger from the bike landed on the boot of the vehicle.
He says the wreckage of the vehicle came to rest about 200 meters from where the remains of the bike was.
Botha says the biker was killed on impact, while the seriously injured woman was stabilized at the scene, before being transported to a nearby hospital.
