Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe will undertake a working visit to Germany and Finland this week.
The presidency says Motlanthe will visit Germany with a delegation of Cabinet ministers and senior officials for the seventh South Africa-Germany Bi-national Commission.
Spokesperson Clayson Monyela says the Commission, established in 1996, co-ordinates bilateral relations between the two countries.
He says the deputy-president will also attend the South Africa-Germany Business Seminar in Munich.
Later in the week, Motlanthe will be in Finland, accompanied by Science Minister Naledi Pandor, and Deputy International Relations Minister, Ebrahim Ebrahim, to strengthen political and economic relations between the two countries.
