Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe will undertake an official visit to Tanzania on Sunday, to participate in the O.R. Tambo Annual Educational Tour.
The Presidency says the purpose of the Annual Tour is to carry forward the legacy of the Solomon Mahlangu Freedom College that stands as a heritage institution embodying much of South Africa's history in exile.
It says the college is an educational institution that was established by the African National Congress to cater for the educational needs of South Africa's young people who were forced to live in exile during the years of the liberation struggle.
The Deputy President will be accompanied by Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Marius Fransman, Deputy Minister of Arts and Culture, Joe Phaahla, and the Deputy Minister of Defence and Military Veterans, Thabang Makwetla.
