A taxi driver who loaded 41 school children in a 16-seater taxi was arrested in Mossel Bay on Friday morning.
Mossel Bay Provincial Traffic Chief Reinet Sarikakis said traffic officers pulled the taxi over at 06:30 in Louis Fourie Road.
She said 41 primary school children were found crammed into the taxi.
Sarikakis said the driver was arrested on the spot and has been charged with reckless and negligent driving.
He will appear in court soon.
