Police are still searching for 51-year-old Johan Kotzé from Modimolle - formely known as Nylstroom - in connection with the murder of his stepson and rape of his estranged wife.
Spokesperson, Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi, said this morning that Kotzé was still on the run.
He denied earlier reports doing the rounds on social media and in text messages that he had been captured in Kimberley.
It is alleged that Kotzé shot dead their son, who walked in on her being gang-raped and mutilated by him and his workers.
The man fled in his white Toyota Fortuner, with the registration number DCS 392 FS.
The three workers also ran away and their whereabouts are unknown.
