The Bloemfontein woman who was reported missing seven days ago has been found dead in the boot of her car.
Police said they discovered Seipati Lechoano’s body on Monday in the parking lot of the municipal building where she worked.
According to OFM News Lechoano was an employee at the Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality's Anti-Fraud sub-directorate and she was last seen alive last week Wednesday as she reported to work.
Mangaung Municipality spokesperson, Qondile Khedama, said her hands and feet were bound but there were no visible injuries on her body.
A post-mortem will be done to determine the exact cause of death.
Police are investigating a case of kidnapping and murder.
