Millions stolen after Bieber concert

Gauteng police say millions of rands were stolen in a break-in at the FNB stadium following Sunday's concert by pop star Justin Bieber.

The takings from goods and food sales for the Bieber and Bon Jovi concert the night before amounted to some R3 million.

The well-planned heist is believed to have been an inside job.

Police spokesperson, lieutenant-colonel Katlego Mogale, says the thieves gained entrance through a bathroom roof leading to the safe wall and forced it open.

Mogale says the suspects then used rope to gain entry from the roof to the safe and removed millions of rands in cash.

Officials believe the suspects chiseled away at the safe room's double-thick walls for several days before the robbery.
