Basic education minister, Angie Motshekga, says all provinces are ready for the 2012 matric examinations.
She said today that her Department is confident that the 2012 exams will proceed smoothly.
She added that all nine provinces had sent in reports confirming their readiness for the exams which start on Monday.
A total of 527 000 full-time learners and 120 000 part-time candidates will write the exams.
Motshekga says 264 question papers have been moderated and approved by the quality assurer, Umalusi.
