The Department of Basic Education (DBE) is investigating a leak of the matric 2020 Mathematics paper 2 exam.
Initial indications suggest that the paper became available in the early hours of Monday morning, just hours before the paper was set to be written at nine A.M.
DBE spokesperson, Elijah Mhlanga, says the origins of the leak are not yet clear.
He says matric candidates who however had access to the paper appear to be located in Limpopo and Gauteng.
Mhlanga says an investigation team are currently gathering evidence to further establish the extent of the leak, to identify learners who may have had access to the paper.
