GIYANI, November 16 (ANA) – A man suspected of being behind the leak of the Matric Mathematics Paper 2 exam question paper is expected to appear in Limpopo Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.
The exam leak was uncovered at Giyani High School on October 31. Members from the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (Hawks) in Gauteng tracked the origin of the leak back to Limpopo.
“A 52-year-old suspect has been arrested after he handed himself over to The Hawks at Giyani Police Station in Limpopo on Tuesday afternoon,” said Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi.
The department of basic education said the leak affected about 700 pupils, who will be compelled to re-write the exam.
