Johannesburg police have seized chemicals used for the manufacture of drugs worth R30m on the street.
Police spokesperson, Captain Paul Ramaloko, says the chemicals were seized when two drug laboratories were discovered in Johannesburg on Thursday night.
Ramaloko said a 36-year-old water technician was arrested in a raid in Randburg.
Police seized 42 half-litre containers of a liquid that is used to produce the drug known as magic mushroom.
Ramaloko says three foreigners were arrested in a second raid on a house in Roodepoort.
He said a Nigerian couple and a Tanzanian man were found in possession of chromic acid, ephedrine, methcathinone and 500 litres of a liquid used to dilute drugs
